BRADWELL BOWLS TOURNAMENT

On Sunday the second of Bradwells tournaments took place, this time sponsored by Bradwell Butchery in aid of the East Coast Hospice, 84 bowlers took part in glorious sunshine with the Butchery providing a BBQ all day. The eventual winners of the coveted hand sculptured Bronze Bull Trophy (by Andrew Edmonds) and £100 went to C. Butcher (Bradwell), P. Thompson and D.Thompson (Beccles Town), the runners up were A. Seddon, J. Seddon and A.Seddon (Bradwell) and in third place T. Gallant, A. Collins and J.Laxton (Bradwell)

On Thursday afternoon Bradwell entertained another touring side this time from Colliers Wood in London, 48 bowlers took part in whites with the victory going to the visitors 132-91, Jean Fagan, Louise Pilgrim, Peter King and Thelma Bradnum on 25-21.

In the weekend’s drives Saturday was won by George Coxsey 28-11 with Peter King close behind in second place on 27-12 and in third place Peter Ridler 24-16, and on Monday Peter King finished first on 33-11 with David Smith and Thelma Bradnum sharing second place, both on 29-26.

UPDATE: In total the event raised £2,234 for East Coast Hospice. An incredible amount!
