All our fresh meat is sourced solely from East Anglia

We pride ourselves on the quality of our beef. The cattle are grazed on the local mashes and wintered in open barns, grown slowly and naturally stress free to produce beef full of flavour and tenderness.

Healthy and happy pigs are bred and reared outdoors for their whole life to produce pork which is tender and full of flavour.

The lambs are from flocks in Norfolk and Suffolk, brought up with their mothers feeding on the mash and sustainable grass lands all around us.

We stock naturally-fed barn reared chicken – St.George’s and Free Range Sutton Hoo chickens as well as Gressingham Duck, and Duck Breast. Our White & Bronze Christmas Turkeys are reared in open barns in Suffolk; we also stock Peel’s Free Range Norfolk Blacks, which have a much more traditional gamey flavour.

We have fresh game birds and venison in season and frozen out of season, plus some exotic meats such as Ostrich, Bison, Impala and many more.

Our ethos is simple, we keep everything local, use the highest quality meat and produce in everything we sell; our ambition has always been to produce the best of the best, so come and visit our store. You will be amazed at the choice of tasty homemade produce on sale, all served in a bright friendly atmosphere.

Bradwell Butchery was established in 1986 by Andrew Edmonds. We have built an enviable reputation for supplying the finest quality meat produced in East Anglia, and boast our own in-store Bakery & Delicatessen. Bread and cakes are baked fresh every day and we also stock a fine selection of local and international cheeses, olives and local condiments.

Our shop is ultra-modern, but retains the old-fashioned values of good friendly service with traditional butchery techniques and is run to the highest hygiene standards.

All our meat is bought from farms and small specialist producers within the East Anglian borders. Beef and Lamb are specially selected to conform to our high standards, all prime beef cuts are hung to mature for tenderness and flavour for a minimum of 21 days.

Pork is our specialty! Blythburgh Free Range Pork is sourced from the Suffolk coast. It is bred and reared living its whole life outdoors to produce healthy and happy pigs, which are outstanding in flavour and tenderness. These exceptional pigs have been used to create many mouth-watering prize winning pies, home cured bacon, gammons, hams and champion sausages and burgers, which now number over 50 varieties.

We have won many national competitions including BRITAIN’S BEST BUTCHERS 2010 for the Midlands and East of England. “It’s without a doubt our greatest achievement, being a whole team effort” said Andrew.
