The recent Regional Roadshow and Product Evaluation Event for butchers saw Andrew and his fourteen year old daughter both walk away as category champions. Megan Edmonds, entered the competition for the first time with her own ‘Traditional Pork Sausage’. The judges were so impressed that Megan was also crowned Supreme Sausage Champion. Andrew was Speciality Cold Eating Pie champion with his ‘Family Steak Pie’.

Megan said: “I’ve been helping my dad make sausages in his shop since I was ten years old. I really enjoy working in the butchery and may join the family business full time when I leave school. I’ve seen my dad enter products at the roadshows before and thought it would be great to enter a sausage I had created to see how well I could do.” Megan also received a gold award for her Orange & Ginger sausage.

Megan accepted her Champion of Champions certificate from Phil Tufnell at the Butchers Hall, London.
