Two generations from Bradwell Butchery, Bakery & Delicatessen, from Norfolk proved that they have the winning combination at the latest BPEX product evaluation event. Andrew and Megan Edmonds were thrilled to walk away with five of the twelve category champion awards on offer, including Megan winning Young Sausage Maker. Furthermore, Andrew was crowned Overall Champion for East Anglia with his ‘Hand Raised Pork Pie’ while Megan goes forward to the Champion of Champions event with her ‘Pork with Sage and Apple Sausage’. Their other category wins were for home cured gammon, beefy beef sausage, traditional pork pie and speciality cold eating pie.

Andrew Edmonds accepted the awards on the night, he said: “I’m absolutely delighted, particularly as we’ve been out of the competition circuit for a year while we expanded the business. I love taking part in these events as it is a real incentive to trial new ideas – the judges will certainly let you know if you’ve got it right or wrong – and get recognition for all our hard work.
