Beef. Still Britons favourite Roast Dinner by far. Here at the Bradwell Butchery we pride ourselves in providing the best local sourced beef that we leave to hang and mature in the old fashion time honoured way for tenderness and flavour. Grazed out on farmland and marshes the cattle are left with their mothers for 14-20 months they are only brought inside for finishing, where they have room to roam in open barns and fed on a mixture of hay, root vegetables, barley and other cereals giving the beef time to fully mature and gain a good covering of fat and a little marbling. Marbling is most important to keep the meat sweet and tender during the cooking.
Traditional butchery skills are still employed by are well trained and experience butchers. A comprehensive display of cuts are on display in the shop every day, Joints, frying and grilling Steaks, Braising and stewing steaks, along with Marinated Steak Kebabs and Beef Steak and veg stir fry.
If you want a joint or a Steak cut to any size, please ask our butchers they will be only to please to help you and cut to your requirements.
Mince a very important part of any butchery, its versatility accommodates so many recipes and family favourites. Here at the Bradwell Butchery we certainly pride ourselves on the highest quality of our minces, we produce two beef minces a Best Beef mince that is trim by our experienced butchers to 99% visual lean and is perfect for any meal, we also make an Ordinary Beef mince trimmed from the same quality beef as the best mince, but not trimming all the fat off, trimming to a 80/20 visual lean to fat ratio. By allowing this small amount of fat it make your recipes more moist, juicy and with extra flavour as well as been a little cheaper, but better for some recipes.
We also make our own home-made Beef Steak burgers, voted Best Steak Burger in 2011 at a national final made with 99% visual lean steak and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper they taste just as good as a steak. Alongside we make our popular ordinary Beef burger ideal for those in home quick dinner or those perfect BBQ’s.
Prime beef cuts are hung in the traditional manner to mature for added tenderness and flavour.
