Sausage of the Week: Porl, Stilton & Chive

Chives can flower beautifullyThis week’s sausage is enhanced with arguably the king of British cheeses: Stilton. Cutting through the beautiful blue cheese flavour is the tang of the smallest member of the onion family. Chives have been cultivated since the middle ages but their use can be traced back over 5000 years. The Romans believed that they could relieve sunburn and the pain from a sore throat. So while there are still a few colds about, why not soothe your throat with this tasty sausage? It’s got to be better than a Locket. After all, who wants mash with that?
